Kundaini, serpent power, is the dormant energy located at the base of the spine that is awakened through the practice of yoga. When our practice of yoga, ”wakes” the serpent power, and kundalini rises to the crown, we are able to see life as it really is. It clears blockages and stagnate energy that has accumulated from stress and trauma, and clouded our all seeing eye. We speak and know the truth. We are no longer afraid.

i met shiva, the destroyer of worlds~
you know who you are :)
~
in the vedic trinity, the trimurti, three hindu gods and their consorts: vishnu, shiva & brahma, are respectively referred to as the: sustainer, destroyer, and the creator.
~
shiva is the destroyer. he is an ascetic. meaning, he has renounced customs of society and culture. he lives on the outskirts of social order. he brings havoc and calamity with him. he goes into trance, takes mind altering substances, enjoys his spiritual powers as he pleases, and dances through the universe. shiva’s dance destroys the universe.
~
the trimurti, are fundemental to our existence. there is no good or bad. the vedic teachings are non-dualistic. meaning, nothing is separate. not even good and evil, god or the devil, right or wrong. indeed we can choose to move to or from any of these things, which will reap different effects dependent on our choices. but neither is one or the other. we cannot have light without a shadow. there is no shadow without the light.
~
the destroyer serves a purpose that sustains the order of the entire universe. in the wake of natural disasters, the upheaval of our personal lives, in the midst of illness, or many calamities where we feel surrounded by destruction, this can be difficult to understand or perceive.
~
in time, the force of brahma will come to dominate and from the wake of shiva’s destruction a new way to all that is will come to form. the grasses will sprout and flowers will plume, and life will settle into a predictable pattern supported by vishnu, the sustainer.

peacock has been showing up for me a lot over the last few days.
peacock as a totem is known for his beauty, and is believed to bestow magic, good luck, and healing.
in greek mythology peacocks feathers contain the eyes of the stars.
it is said in many traditions that the peacock is symbolic of the resurrection of the phoenix.
in hindu tradition peacock often shows up with lakshmi and saraswati. peacock with lakshmi represents wealth and adornment. peacock with saraswati reminds us not to become vain with material possessions or external beauty.

Muladhara chakra, oddly mistaken as a flower, is at the base root of the spine. Muladhara (Sanskrit: मूलाधार, Mūlādhāra) is one of the seven primary chakras. Muladhara is yellow, surrounded by eight shining spears on the sides and corners, and with four red petals. The four petals are red, with the Sanskrit syllables va, scha, sha and sa written in gold upon them, representing the four vrittis: greatest joy, natural pleasure, delight in controlling passion, and blissfulness in concentration.
~
The seed syllable is the mantra lam. Within the point that forms a part of the letter, just above it, is Brahma who is deep red, with four faces and four arms, holding a staff, a sacred vase of nectar, rosarary making the gesture of dispelling fear (alternatively instead of the staff and rosary he is holding a lotus flower and the sacred scriptures). He is seated on a swan.

Hamsa Ayurveda coming into fruition!!!

Hamsa is coming into form!

People can be monsters.

While awake the living entity enjoys with all of his senses the fleeting characteristics of the material body and mind; while dreaming he enjoys similar experiences within the mind; and in deep dreamless sleep all such experiences merge into ignorance. By remembering and contemplating the succession of wakefulness, dreaming and deep sleep, the living entity can understand that he is one throughout the three stages of consciousness and is transcendental. Thus, he becomes the lord of the senses.

What did your face look like before your parents were born?
Once thoughts are quieted, the Original Face appears. Thoughts can be compared to clouds. When clouds vanish, the moon appears. The moon of suchness is the Original Face. Thoughts are also like the fogging of a mirror. When you wipe away all condensation, a mirror reflects clearly. Quiet your thoughts and behold your Original Face before you were born!
